Forever Pace Run Club | Chicago
WHY
For many adults, running is an individual sport with individual goals.
The Forever Pace Run Club aims to change this by bringing together a community of runners for weekly group runs and occasional events/races.
Ultimately, we want to help local runners meet like-minded, ambitious people, who can support each other in the pursuit of their goals.
WHEN
The Run Club meets weekly on Wednesday night at 6:30pm.
We run rain or shine as long as weather conditions are safe to be outside.
Follow @forever.pace on Instagram for relevant weekly updates and announcements.
WHERE
Meet at the outdoor pullup bars in Walsh (John) Park. This is the park at the far east entrance of the 606 (Bloomingdale) Trail.
From the pullup bars, the group heads onto the 606 Trail for the duration of the out-and-back run. The run ends back at the pullup bars in Walsh Park.
WHO
Anyone can join no matter your running experience.
All ages, paces, and distances are welcome. We will try to form groups at the beginning based on everyones goal pace and distance.
Forever Pace Run Club is completely free...just show up ready to run!
POST-RUN
At the conclusion of the run (or whenever your group completes your run), everyone is invited to meet for drinks and/or food at The Hurley Tap (1645 W Cortland St). Hang out and meet others for as long as you like!
The Hurley Tap is an easy 2-minute walk from the park.
GETTING THERE
Free parking is available on many of the neighborhood streets near the park for drivers (Marshfield Ave, Wabansia Ave, Paulina St).
If you are driving, I highly recommend downloading the app SpotAngels to find free parking.
There is also a Divvy dock station right at the entrance of the 606 path off of Ashland Ave if you prefer to bike/scooter to the park.
Finally, you could take the Metra and get off at the Clybourn stop. This stop is about a 5 minute walk from the park.
